Description
Entangled in Time
This is not metaphor. These were coordinated attacks—sometimes carried out by so‑called “lone wolves,” but more often enabled, led, or openly sanctioned by local officials, police departments, and deputized white mobs. The masked “OFFICIALS” and the live news ticker warning of domestic extremism remind us of a crucial truth: this violence was never rogue. It was infrastructural.
Each event represented in this poster is part of a documented archive of white domestic terror—attacks that stretch across generations, geographies, and political eras. Though separated by time, they are bound by a shared logic: a system that wages continuous war on Black bodies, Black communities, and Black self‑determination.
This poster stands as testimony to that entanglement. It reveals how domestic white supremacist violence operates not as isolated eruptions, but as a governing mechanism—a tool of control embedded in law, policy, policing, and public culture. The violence is quantum in its reach: past events reverberate into the present, shaping institutions, behaviors, and the conditions under which Black life must navigate survival.
Entangled across time, these histories expose a single truth: domestic white terrorism is not an exception to the system. It is one of its foundations.
